On May 21, 2013, Mr. Dave Baeckelandt, a Chicago native, an accomplished investment industry professional and internationally recognized collector of antique stock certificates, chronicled Chicago's history of "Firsts" in financial innovations. From the earliest real estate mortgage bonds and investment banking transactions to the most sophisticated financial futures market place, Dave's presentation covered Chicago's financial landscape from the founding of the City to the present day.  His slide presentation reviews the "firsts" that Chicagoans can lay claim to. The Bond Club of Chicago Field Day 2012 took place at the Harborside International Golf Center.  Thank you to all of our members and guests who came out to join in on the festivities! This year's outing was memorable because it was at a new golf course. The beautiful course was situated on the shores of Lake Michigan and in the distance was the skyline of our great city.

Annual Meeting 2012: Union League Club

Ms. Lois Scott, CFO of the City of Chicago addressed Club members with personal Club stories and the State of the City. On behalf of the Club, we would like to thank Ms. Scott for taking the time to speak with members.

In addition, please welcome the Club's 2012 Officers and Directors. Max Nutkowitz is President and his goals include increasing membership by 15%. Let's acheive that goal and invite a friend, colleague or anyone who has interest in the finance field to an event and further, joining a long list of membership which spans over 100 years.  

In an effort to generate ideas, make the Club more effective or even simple feedback, we would like to engage all members in providing us with input. Wheather you have an event idea, a speaker you'd like to hear or a sporting event, please email Olyvia Jarmoszka and let her know what you'd like to see happen at the Club in 2012.

On behalf of The Bond Club of Chicago, we would like to wish everyone a wonderful 2012. Last year will forever be a memorable year as the Club celebrated its 100th anniversary. We are looking forward to what this year may bring and the new friends that are joining the Club.

Thank you for attending our Holiday Party on December 1, 2011 at the Tower Club. We had quite the turnout with over 80 members and potential members in attendance. As always, it was an enjoyable evening with food, drinks and developing relationships. Let's continue the positive vibes in 2012. Best of luck to all!
